Abstract: Climate and land-use change have a significant impact on habitats, biodiversity and the provision of ecosystem services. The German research project LandKlif investigated how these two factors affect the Bavarian landscape along a climate and land-use gradient in near-natural, agricultural and urban areas, with the aim of better understanding potential interactive relationships and the way in which biodiversity can contribute to climate-resilience. In this talk, I will summarise some of the main findings related to the biodiversity of microbes, plants and animals as well as the ecosystem services they provide.
